Our young youth, our future, listening to Pastor Wright condemn the wonderful country they live in. Preaching hatred, where has all the love gone? That’s what I want my church to pray for, love forgiveness and respect. Obama, you have lost my vote! To think you would take your precious little daughters into that spued hate spat out by your Pastor!! NOT THIS TIME OBAMA.. NOT THIS TIME!!!
Jerry Brown, Murrieta, Ca.
i haven’t listened to much of pastor wrights sermons but i highly doubt its centered around hatred. a lot of people say a lot of things, it doesn’t mean you should hate them. i agree with you that we need love, forgiveness, and respect like you said. We also need the ability to investigate and understand why people say such things, instead of condemn them outright. Someone once said, that its easier to condemn than it is to think. Condemnation will only drive us apart. listen to the speech he gave today, heres the link:

The entire idea of racial equality is exactly as it is stated “all races equal” do not just me by the color of my skin do not expect special treatment because of the color of your skin. Desegregation is what it is and Mr. Wright is just another Af. Amer. who believes that he and the af. amer. are better than any race in the US. Poor me Poor me, We need UNCF to go to college, how is this desegregation. To me (a 22 year old male from colorado who never got a chance to go to college)this is the black community trying to segregate themselves from the white community. I believe it is my civil right to have every bit of a chance to go to college as the next kid, not by the color of my skin, or by social stature, but by the desire to improve the country not just one group of people. I think that Mr. wright as well as Obama are in it for there people as a community and not for the US who is home to persons of every color and every nationality.
