Iran’s stifled media - 11 Mar 08

The media in Iran has been increasingly stifled under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Newspapers have been shut down and journalists intimidated.

Many in the media had been hoping a resurgence of the Reformists in Friday’s polls would see restrictions relaxed.

But as Alireza Ronaghi reports from Tehran, that’s now looking unlikely.
